Who is Tobias Demetz?

Tobias Demetz is an Italian film producer and director who has traveled to 45 countries, shaping his cinematic vision through people, nature, and extreme locations. He worked as a pre-editor on Hill of Vision (produced by the team behind Life is Beautiful) and contributed to projects for Netflix and Amazon Prime. He has attended Cannes (thrice), Berlinale, and Biografilm Festival.

His main documentary, A Penny Weighs More Than a Soul, features an original score recorded with a small orchestra in Zurich, audio post-production at Soundart23, and color grading at Cinecittà Studios.

Since age 13, Tobias has collaborated with museums across Europe, Morocco, and the USA, researching insects and spiders. His deep passion for nature has enhanced his ability to capture intricate details in both nature documentaries and commercials.

VFX
During his exchange year in Ireland, Tobias adapted to the onset of COVID-19 by delving into VFX and Blender. His passion for creating action and adventure films with VFX has become a key strength in his filmmaking.

CARS
Since the age of 3, Tobias has been fascinated by cars, painting, playing with, and collecting over 100 of them. Today, he continues this passion by filming vehicles in extraordinary locations, including deserts, snowy landscapes, and even Mars-like terrains in Argentina.
